Proxy Server may prevent Instructor Led training from working

Support Admin (IPAF) -

A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting.

Having a proxy server configured on your computer may prevent the IPAF Instructor Led training from running properly. To check whether you have a proxy server configured, do the following

On Windows-based PCs

  • Go to Control Panel
  • Internet Options
  • Connections
  • LAN Settings
  • Ensure there is no proxy server entered at the bottom

On Apple Macintosh Computers

  • Go to System Preferences
  • Choose Network
  • Select the Advanced button in the lower right.
  • Select Proxies

In each case above, if you do have a proxy configured, you may wish to try de-selecting this to try running the module again. If uncomfortable with making any changes in this area of your computer's settings, please refer to your IT department or helpdesk for guidance.
